Sustainability Internship
Worcester State University invites high school sophomores and juniors to participate in a fun, hands-on, two-week summer paid internship program! Work with faculty, students, community groups and local businesses on Earth science and sustainability projects!
Students will learn about:
* Technical tools for a sustainable future
* Renewable Energy / Local Geography
* Land conservation
* Water resources
* Natural resource issues in Central MA
* Careers in Geosciences
Students will experience:
* Team work with peers form other high schools around Worcester
* Field experience at various locations around Worcester County
Program runs July 16th -27th

Regional Environmental Council Youth Mentor
The Regional Environmental Council’s (REC) Food Justice Program is seeking 3 part time summer Youth Mentors to work with participants (ages 14-18) of the YouthGROW Summer Program, which is held on 2 youth-led small urban farm campuses in Worcester’s Main South and Bell Hill neighborhoods. Activities during the summer program focus on sustainable agriculture, environmental and social justice, youth activism, community organizing, skill-building and leadership development.
